Balloon Payment

A balloon payment is a large, lump-sum payment due at the end of a loan term after smaller periodic payments have been made. It is common in structured financing agreements. Businesses must plan for such obligations carefully, as they can create liquidity pressure if not properly forecasted within long-term financial planning.
