Error of Commission

An error of commission happens when an amount is recorded incorrectly, such as posting the wrong figure or entering data in the wrong account of the correct type. While the transaction is recorded, the inaccuracy can distort financial statements. Regular reviews and reconciliations help detect and correct these mistakes.
