Revenue expenditure

Revenue expenditure refers to costs incurred in the day-to-day running of a business, like rent, utilities, and maintenance. These are short-term expenses recorded in the income statement during the period they’re incurred. Unlike capital expenditure, they do not result in asset creation or long-term benefit.
